PypeServer Lyte

PypeServer Lyte + Kentucky Gauge

We’re excited to announce the #1 industrial cutting software, PypeServer, is now compatible with the #1 industrial length stop and pusher equipment from Kentucky Gauge.

PypeServer Lyte brings the power and intelligence of PypeServer Enterprise to Kentucky Gauge, simplifying workflows from CAD, through detailing, cutting, assembly, install, and inventory tracking.

Pull detailed part designs directly from CAD and BIM tools to automate machine programming and operation, minimize material waste, and reduce labor costs.

And don’t let the name fool you. Just like Kentucky Gauge, PypeServer works with all material types, shapes, and sizes – tubes and pipes, bar stock, lumber, rebar, I-beams, channels, extrusions, and anything else you can throw at it.

Pull Directly from CAD and BIM Software

Go from models to manufacturing instantly and seamlessly. Select parts or spools directly from you model assembly and instantly create a cut list and begin cutting parts. There is no need to manually enter cut lengths, modify quantities or even control the Kentucky Gauge. This is all handled with PypeServer Lyte to simplify your manufacturing process.

There is no need to manually enter cut lengths, modify quantities or even control the Kentucky Gauge. This is all handled with PypeServer Lyte to simplify your manufacturing process. PypeServer Lyte works with most CAD and BIM design tools on the market today including Revit, AutoCAD, Trimble SysQue, MSUITE FabPro, GTP STRATUS, eVolve Mechanical, Victaulic Tools for Revit, Tekla, ProCAD SPOOLCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AcornPipe / SpoolFab, Codeware COMPRESS, and Ship Constructor.

Not seeing your software? No problem! PypeServer Lyte is compatible with any software that can produce PCF, STEP, CSV, or other standard files.

PypeServer’s products, with their ability to import parts and spools from a wide range of design tools, save lots of machine programming time.  This capability is especially helpful in shops that use multiple design packages in-house (e.g., AutoCAD and Revit).  PypeServer Lyte is cloud-enabled, so in addition to importing parts using files exported from your CAD software, you can import parts and spools from anyone connected to your cloud workgroup.

Automatically Nest Parts to Minimize Waste

pipe bundle

Advanced nesting minimizes waste and generates usable cuts to streamline your fabrication floor.

PypeServer Lyte lets fabricators make the most of expensive materials by:

  • maximizing the number of parts cut from stock,
  • sharing end cuts, extra nesting gap,
  • managing dead zones,
  • prioritizing specific parts within a job
  • allowing operators to use up old drops and bundle stock
  • nesting around defects, such as dents, scuffs, knots in lumber, etc.

PypeServer Lyte also offers bundled nesting. Once you tell PypeServer Lyte how many sticks you can bundle at one time, it will automatically generate a nesting to maximize your cutting efficiency while minimizing scrap. It can even tell you mid-program if sticks need to be removed to reduce unused cut parts.

Don’t know the most efficient bundle number? No problem. PypeServer Lyte can analyze your entire cut list and determine the degree of bundling that’ll minimize material waste. After that, it will let the operator know how many sticks to load at each stage of the cut job.

Automatic Label Printing and Cut Reporting

custom label

Label printing is built-in to PypeServer Lyte with custom label formats, QR codes, and a wide range of label data.

Labels can be printed using any information available in the model and can include QR codes that can link to spool sheets, fit-up information, field instructions, or any other documents on your network.

PypeServer Lyte also updates the status of cut parts in real time, ensuring visibility upstream to help manage change orders and preventing accidental re-cuts.
